If you can't come to Herefordshire and join in the Summer Walking Festival, there is still lots of walking to enjoy.
Summer and winter, over 2000 miles of footpath afford plenty of opportunities to walk throughout the year.
Three favourite long distance paths cross Herefordshire. The Mortimer Trail, the Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke Path plus one that is uniquely its own - the Herefordshire Trail - www.herefordshiretrail.com brand new long distance footpath linking the market towns and entirely within the county.
Local walk leaflets are available from all the Herefordshire Tourist Information Centres (TICs) or choose one of these 15 circular walks. Special buses in the summer serve the two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and timetables for the Malvern Hills Hopper and the Wye Valley Wanderer are available from the Tourist Information Centres. There are plenty of places along the way to eat or enjoy a drink and excellent places to stay.
